Acerca del evento
The Board of Ethics was established by local legislation for the purpose of serving as a "guardian" for the Board of Commissioners and other public officials within Cherokee County. The ‘Public Officials” over whom the Board has oversight responsibility are listed in Article II of the Municipal Code, along with the makeup of the Board of Ethics. Members serve a seven-year term and meet quarterly, as necessary.
Complaints concerning unethical actions of Cherokee County officials may be submitted by mail or email following the guidelines laid out in the “Steps for Filing a Proper Ethics Complaint.” Once submitted, a complaint will be reviewed by members of the Board. If it is determined to be a valid complaint, the Board will decide how the complaint will be investigated and a decision rendered.
