State & Regional Races
Every Georgia voter will see two Public Service Commission (PSC) seats on the ballot. These positions regulate energy, broadband, and utilities across the state, directly affecting power bills, internet access, and clean-energy investment.
Countywide Measures
Cherokee County T-SPLOST
-
What it is: A one-cent sales tax to fund transportation projects for five years (roads, intersections, bridge maintenance, traffic-flow upgrades in county and cities).
-
Goal: Provide steady, shared transportation funding without increasing property taxes.
Citywide Measures
Senior Homestead Exemption Fix (Woodstock)
-
Problem: If a spouse on Woodstock’s senior homestead exemption passes away, the survivor must wait five years to requalify—even after decades here.
-
What a YES does: Lets surviving spouses keep their exemption without restarting the clock. Many see this as fairness and compassion.
City Races
(City Limits Only)
If you live within Woodstock city limits, you’ll vote for mayor, city council, and a proposed city charter amendment (the Senior Homestead Exemption Fix listed above).
These races will shape Woodstock’s approach to transparency, growth, housing, and public engagement in the coming years.
