關於本活動

We are joining a coordinated, multi-location vigil to stand in solidarity with Renée Good, who was killed by ICE on January 7 in Minneapolis.

Renée should be alive. She should be home with her family. And she is not the first person to die at the hands of ICE, and she will not be the last unless this is made visible.

This vigil is about grief, solidarity, and presence.

Together we say, “Not one more.”

Where to Gather: Line up along the train track side of Main Street, beginning at the corner of Main Street and Arnold Mill Road, extending south as space allows. Remain on the sidewalk and public right-of-way.

Safety: Do not block vehicle traffic, sidewalks, crosswalks, or pedestrian access.

What to Bring: Bring an electronic candle, flashlight, or other handheld light. Signs are welcome.

We will have a limited number of lights available. Bringing your own helps ensure everyone can participate.

What to Expect: A quiet vigil, open to all faiths and none, with a moment of silence.

Signs Ideas:

  1. She Should Be Alive

  2. Not One More

  3. Noncompliance Is Not a Death Sentence

  4. Killing Is Not Law Enforcement

  5. Parents Should Come Home

  6. This Was Not Self-Defense

  7. Fear Is Not a Crime

  8. ICE Killed Renée Good

  9. Video Doesn’t Lie

  10. State Violence Is Still Violence

Purpose: To ensure people in the metro Atlanta area, including Woodstock, have a place to gather, grieve, and be seen.

We stand with Renée Good and with every family harmed by ICE violence and detention.
