Woodstock Showed Up for NO KINGS. And the Whole Country Felt It.

Yesterday, 3,000 to 4,000 of us took to the streets of Woodstock to say: No Kings. No Violence. No Arrests. No Property Damage. Just Power.

The only incident police reported was a minor scuffle between one of ours and a counter-protester—an incident that could’ve been avoided if our folks had stuck to the plan: don’t engage, move away, call 911. Otherwise? We showed up focused, peaceful, and united. We looked good—and the city saw it.

Law enforcement told us directly: they were very happy with our group. They know our members follow safety guidance. The real risk, they said, comes from outsiders who don’t know our rules—or don’t care.

As for the counter-protesters: they weren’t exactly friendly, but as far as we’re aware, most didn’t cross serious lines. That’s their right. Just like it was ours to show up stronger.

About the businesses

Let’s set the record straight:

✅ No vandalism. No blocked doors. No threats.

✅ Police received zero complaints of that kind.

A few businesses saw traffic slow slightly during peak hours. But where things really dropped? It was almost always MAGA hecklers causing the problem—not our people.

Others used the moment to shine:

  • Partner’s Pizza handed out samples and saw it as great publicity.

  • Spirited supported the protest without hesitation.

  • Truck & Tap stayed open with no issues.

Meanwhile, MAGA-aligned individuals were leaning on buildings, crowding entrances, and visibly carrying concealed weapons in fanny packs. So if you hear spin about “business impact,” ask who’s talking—and what they’re really trying to say.

We believe future events can create more opportunity for local businesses—especially those willing to engage, not antagonize.

About those shirts…

We handed out about 40 shirts on the honor system, asking folks to donate $15 or more. Only one donation came in.

We get it—things were busy. But every dollar makes a difference.

These events don’t fund themselves. Permits, first aid, water, signage—it all adds up, and it’s 100% community-powered.

✅ Just 25¢ from everyone would cover the shirts.

✅ $5 or $10 helps fund the next big protest.

Want to get more involved?

We had at least six people come up after the protest asking how to join in. If that’s you—now’s the time.

We’re moving to a new system to organize trainings and volunteer teams, and we need every current volunteer to resubmit their info so we can keep you in the loop.

We’ll train you, support you, and have your back every step of the way.

We’re proud of what we did together. We’re proud of our discipline. And we’re proud to say: this was just the beginning.
