These meetings decide what happens in our community. Tonight, we are doing two things at once: Sips & Civics and a calm, visible protest outside and inside City Council.

What We’re Doing

We’ll gather at Reformation to review tonight’s City Council agenda together. ICE is not on the agenda. We are showing up visibly and deliberately to make clear that ICE activity in our community is not acceptable.

At 6:30 PM, we will march single file from Reformation to the Chambers at City Center (next to Rootstock).

Bring a small sign you can hold in your lap inside the chambers.

Keep it short, calm, and legible. Suggested wording:

  • ICE OUT OF WOODSTOCK

  • ICE OUT OF CHEROKEE

  • NO ICE IN OUR CITY

  • NEIGHBORS NOT TARGETS

  • FAMILIES BELONG HERE

  • COMMUNITY CARE, NOT FEAR

  • ICE DOES NOT KEEP US SAFE

  • NO LOCAL COMPLICITY

One message per sign. Big letters. Nothing profane or threatening.

Inside / Outside Plan

  • If the meeting is in person, we will enter the chambers together and sit with signs clearly visible to City Council.

  • Up to three people may sign up to give public comment at the beginning of the meeting. If allowed, we will speak.

  • If the City cancels the live meeting and moves it online, we will march back to Reformation and regroup there.

This is a lawful, disciplined visibility action. Calm presence. No disruptions.

Participation Notes

You do not have to speak to participate. If you want to give public comment, arrive early to sign up. Public comment usually happens near the beginning of the meeting.

Why This Matters

City Council decisions shape zoning, development, public safety, and funding priorities in Woodstock. Showing up matters. Being visible matters. Silence is how harmful policies move forward without resistance.

We are here to make sure our elected officials see us and know where this community stands.

Register and join us.
