About The Event
Violence committed by ICE is escalating. The regime enabling it is lying, covering it up, and normalizing harm. Waiting, watching, or reacting individually is not a plan.
This is a rapid response organizing discussion for people in and around Woodstock, Cherokee County, and neighboring counties who intend to stay engaged and support this work going forward.
We will:
Review new security measures and recommendations for organizing in the current environment
Share updates on what we are seeing locally and nationally
Break into small breakout groups to discuss community needs, risks, ideas, and next steps
Identify where people want to plug in and how we move together, not alone
Important participation requirements:
Cameras must be on.
Anyone who remains off camera will be asked to leave unless you have cleared it in advance with Woodstock CAN.
To request an exception, contact us via Signal or email before the meeting: hello@woodstockcan.org
This meeting is intentionally not open to drop-ins from anywhere. It is designed for people who are local, who understand the stakes, and who are prepared to engage seriously and responsibly.
Zoom link will be sent by email shortly before the meeting to those who RSVP.
If you are looking for a space to process, organize, and respond with clarity and care, this is that space.
