Giới thiệu về sự kiện
Georgia has the money. Our families don’t have the food.
Governor Kemp is sitting on billions in state reserves while more than a million Georgians — including hundreds of thousands of children — face hunger because the state refuses to step up during the federal shutdown.
We’re marching to say: Feed our people, not the politicians.
We’ll begin at the Atlanta History Center, where one representative will make a small donation inside to preserve real history — not the revisionist nonsense pushed by the Trump-MAGA regime. That donation shows what we stand for: truth, compassion, and accountability.
Then we’ll march together down West Paces Ferry Road to the Governor’s Mansion for a peaceful demonstration demanding action to protect Georgia families.
Afterward, we’ll march back to our vehicles at the History Center.
March Route
From the Atlanta History Center (130 W Paces Ferry Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30305) to the Governor’s Mansion (391 W Paces Ferry Rd NW) — approximately one mile, about 21 minutes each way.
Static Protest Location
Public sidewalks along West Paces Ferry Road in front of the Governor’s Mansion.
If you have mobility or movement issues or prefer not to walk the full distance, you are welcome to join directly at the sidewalk across from the Governor’s Mansion for the static protest.
We recommend arranging to be dropped off, as legal parking in front of the Mansion cannot be guaranteed and may be restricted during the event.
Signs & Messaging
Recommended slogans:
“Georgia Has the Money — Families Need the Food”
“Feed Our People, Not the Politicians”
“Hunger Is a Policy Choice”
“$14 Billion in Reserves, 1.4 Million Hungry”
“Crank Up Democracy — Not Excuses”
Bring large, legible signs on foam or poster board. Avoid sticks or poles (no wooden or metal rods).
Dress & Appearance
Wear red, white, and blue to show that feeding families and standing up for neighbors is patriotic, not partisan.
Bring American flags. This is a rally for our freedoms and our people. Please use lightweight plastic poles or hand-held fabric flags; no metal or wooden poles will be allowed (this is to follow Atlanta law)
Avoid inflatable costumes or bulky outfits that take up sidewalk space; the sidewalks are narrow, and we need to leave room for pedestrians.
Keep signs and visuals easy to carry, readable, and free from profanity. We are here to get a political message across, not to teach local children new and creative uses of the f-word.
Rules & Safety Reminders
Stay peaceful, non-violent, and respectful at all times.
Stay on public sidewalks. Do not enter the Governor’s Mansion property.
Leave room for pedestrians and follow all traffic signals.
Do not block driveways or intersections.
Do not engage with hecklers or counter-protesters.
Bring water, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes.
If approached by police, remain calm and courteous. You have the right to assemble peacefully on public sidewalks.
Keep vehicles legally parked at the History Center. Our charitable donation reinforces that we are respectful guests and part of the community, not a disturbance.
Why It Matters
This isn’t about party labels. It’s about priorities. Georgia has the resources to protect its people during a crisis — and refusing to act is a choice.
We’re showing what real leadership looks like: neighbors helping neighbors, standing up for children, families, and seniors who deserve better.
Join us to send one clear message to the Governor: Do your job. Feed your people.
