About The Event

Overview

The LRC Youth Council is hosting an event on Media Polarization and Digital Wellbeing. Held on Saturday, April 4th, 11-12:30pm PST.

In an increasingly digital and polarized world, young people are forming identities, relationships, and beliefs within media environments that often reward speed, certainty, and division over reflection and curiosity.

The Youth Council is hosting an event on Media Polarization and Digital Wellbeing. This event centers the Living Room Conversations (LRC) model as a relational practice that helps youth stay human with one another across differences. Rather than attempting to fix polarization, we are creating space for dialogue, reflection, and shared understanding — supported by insights from leaders in digital well-being and media literacy.

Our Digital Literacy Experts:

1. Shaunelle Curry from Media Done Responsibly

2. Daniella Ivanir from #HalfTheStory

3. A representative from Allsides

Who is invited to attend this event?

High school and college youth, educators, and community members (in other words, you!)

This is an intergenerational dialogue, so participants of all ages are welcome.

Conversation questions will be taken from the following three Living Room Conversations guides. Follow the links to view/download the guides.

Note: you will need to create a new or login to an existing free LRC account to download.
