About The Event
Join Woodstock CAN for Sips & Civics as we show up together for the Canton State of the City Address to make one thing clear: ICE does not belong in Canton or Cherokee County.
ICE activity is happening quietly across North Georgia. People are being detained without warning, families are being torn apart, and fear is spreading through neighborhoods and workplaces. Local officials do not get to look the other way.
We’ll gather first for coffee, connect with neighbors, and then walk together to City Hall to be visibly present for this public civic moment.
Schedule
4:00–4:30 PM - Meet at Bizarre Coffee, 121 E Marietta St, Canton, GA 30114. Grab a coffee, meet a friend, get oriented. (They close at 5.)
4:30–4:45 PM - Walk together to Canton City Hall
5:00–7:00 PM - State of the City Address, City Hall, 110 Academy Street, Canton, GA 30114
What to Bring

“No ICE in Cherokee”

This is about visibility and accountability. Show up together. Make it clear that public safety means protecting all of our neighbors and that ICE has no place in our cities.
Come for the coffee. Walk together. No ICE in Canton.
